Hey Amy, I think the second one is the best all around. Good color and the bird is doing something. It's hard to get the bird lit when you are shooting against the sky. Usually one or the other is washed out, but this is balanced. Where are you that you have all those woodpeckers. I'm always looking for them and never see any. The last pic would have been interesting with only the head cropped full screen with the backlight from the sun, but it looks out of focus.

On second look he's not out of focus it's just the sunlight.
