My daughter is 25 and still likes to wear funny hats- she will be an amazing teacher. I started taking pictures of her in her hats, but realized I was not doing her justice so I played around with a miniature hat. Nothing like using flash inside on a rainy day to show off the dust everywhere... Hats off to Mark for this week's assignment!

Behind Bars
I apologize for being so late with this assignment- company came and stayed longer than expected. No time to devote to the assignment while she was here! I did manage a few shots, but had to be furtive about it. What is it about taking pictures in a store that bothers management so?! Once again I used the macro setting on two of the shots and in the last one, the camera focused on the pavement beyond the metal lines of the cart, putting the bright reflection out of focus. Sometimes it seems like a mystery...

Heel Studies
Hi, everyone! Thanks for letting me join the fun and participate in this creative learning experience. I studied photography in college (many years ago...) from an art perspective, but find my lack of technical knowledge has held me back. Based on the photographs I've seen, I know I will learn a lot about the technical side, as well as the artistic side from all of you. I shoot with a Sony Cybershot, a camera that is not made anymore and doesn't have changeable lenses, but can do a lot and has good light-gathering capabilities. I like to use the Macro setting to get close views, but I'm not always successful. I did enjoy this assignment, Lynn, and played around with shadows and macro views.
